Research Summary

I am a graduate student in Environmental Engineering at Northwestern University in Prof. Aaron I. Packman's research group. The focus of my research is divided between a large scale field efforts and the modelling and analysis of the collected data. Along with Judson W. Harvey, Ph.D, and others from U.S. Geological Survey we have conducted solute tracer experiments, recorded key topographical features, and measured velocity and hydraulic conductivity values at Maple Creek near Nickerson, NE and Sugar Creek near Kentland, IN. My model is a modified version of Prof. Anders Wörman's spectral method. It is a generalized analysis of the exchange induced by topographic features of any size in river systems. Recent additions to the model allow me to expand calculations from straight flumes to larger natural systems in more reasonable ways.
